Shoe Obsession exhibition
The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (MFIT)
The Shoe Obsession exhibition will feature approximately 150 examples of contemporary footwear and styles that have made shoes central to fashion.
It explores the fascination with extravagant and fashionable shoes in our culture. This special exhibition will open from February 8 through April 13 at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Image below, Invisible Shoes, a design by Andreia Chaves.

Carnival parade in Sao Paulo
The Brazil's two largest cities, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, whose parades are being held Feb 8-9 and Feb 10-11, respectively, started the parades yesterday featuring a massive parade with the 'escolas do samba' at the runway of Sambódromo do Anhembi of the carnival in Sao Paulo.
The brazilian actress and model Ellen Rocche, representing the Escola de Samba Sociedade Rosas de Ouro, was one of the queens at the runway yesterday, see images below.

The Queen show will never be the same
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival has celebrated the Queen show last friday and the Gran Canaria capital's carnival will never be the same.
From Italy, Erio Orofino and Federico Lovati have broken fix schemes attached to the most popular images of the carnival queens of the festivals. With a powerful red, a mixture of Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves Saint Laurent, the team created a special dress that revolutioned this awaited night of the carnival festivities.
